I just used material purchased from Home Depotusing .
Using a 4'x2" piece of steel, a couple of wing nuts, and a plate of steel all cut to the your size of preferrence of course . It all depends on the type of accessory you will be placing on top plate.

Mine basically consist of two arm pieces of 4" x 2" steel arms, with the one on the bottom lower portiong being bent on a 90 degree angle to mount to the gas tank bolt and then drill another hole at the top portion of the same piece to join the second arm that is attached to a 90 degree joint I made from the same piece of 4' steel . The second arm is joined by a wing nut also to the 90 elbow piece which is attached using quick weld.
For power just go to your favorite auto supply store and get a weather proof cigarette light plug like I have for $5 and glue to the bottomside of your mounting plated using "once again quick weld that can also be purchased from Home Depot.
To finish it up, wrap it with 2" wire loom and bind together using black electrical tape or velcro that can also be purchased from Home Depot.

There you have it Playaz, your very own homemade stemstand for under $20 smackeroos.

I got mo time than money

Excuse the rust, but this can be avoided if you just take the time to prime and paint with Kyrons paint or whatever you choose to use

Oh yeah dont forget to grind down those edges down on the your steel arms, and also it might be better if you use a rubber washer and a nylon lock nut and bolt instead of the wing nutz like I have done.
Reason being, because you wont have to loosen and tight'n the wing nuts for adjusting the mounting plate or arms and will now be relying on the friction joint you just created.

Rhythm, does your V1 bounce around too much just using the cups? I was going to mount mine, but figured that for one, the bouncing may cause it to come off, and for two, that the founcing may mar up the shield on the front edge.

Yep ! I get alot of bounce with it on the windscreen too. Thats why I'll be making a longer arm, so that it will sit above the blackout portion on the windscreen.

Now get the steppn to Home Depot !
