After a nice ride with a friend up and over to Placerville and back yesterday, we stopped in at the local Arby's for quick bite. It was humid and hot here in the Carson City area yesterday. After spending about 45 minutes at lunch, I walked out to get on my busa and..............WTF? I could not believe my eyes! I see this white foam stuff ozzing out from under the hump and going all over the place, chain guard, swing arm and exhaust. Woe is me.......my damn can of Fix-a-flat had exploded and ruined almost everything I had stored under there! I was one PO'd hombre I tell ya! Anyway, I spent 5 solid hours cleaning up the mess and peeling and scraping all that crap from the underside of the hump, underside of the seat, battery, connections, etc.. It was everywhere. Anyway, if any of you store stuff like that under the hump, immediately run to the garage and remove it! A new can will henceforth be riding in my backpack! Whew! What a mess!

(extreemachine @ Jun. 03 2007,14:26) That must have been a mess!!! Anything permanently ruined?
Not that I can tell, everything seems to work OK, I was kinda worried about shorting something out or blowing a fuse under there or something. Took an hour ride today and all seems to be good.

I know u were pissed.  Nothing in my storage area other than the PC & a few tools

That sucks, I left a bran new thing of deodrant in mine once after shopping and it blew up, not as bad of a clean up and smelled nice.

Had a few cans of coke freeze and burst in back of a Broncoo II once.
Coke slushie everywhere!

Ditch the fix-a-flat and get a plug kit and a mini 12 volt compressor. Once you take the guts out of the plastic compressor body the plug kit and compressor will take up less space than the fix-a-flat can. You'll be able to plug a dozen tires and never run out of air. The Bell plug kit and compressor can be bought at Walmart for about $17 bucks total.

+1. Fix a flat doesn't fix much of anything.
