Hotels in Indy for the MotoGP

MotoGP has most of Indy in "Event Status" or if you prefer. "Event Status = $$$"

I used PriceLine.com and got a room at the Sheratan for $80 per night.. not sure how many rooms are left at the rate but most lodging starts at about $159 per night (Country inn suites is where we usually stay)

The Sheratan is in zone 4 (about 15 minutes from track)

I got a room in Cloverdale for the same. Little town, little further out (45 min they claim), place got good reviews. Everything in Indy that I looked at was $150+ or full.

I can get reservations at any marriott if you are just looking for a room in sold out stuff, but otherwise I'd suggest looking at the GOV rate and then also look at local company rates... indi, you can probably find a code out there for wyndham or some other place based there

I'm staying in Richmond.. About 1 1/2 hrs to the east. We are trailering out 4 bikes and figure we would ride to the event to save on some gas. We'll have 2 busa's, a duc monster and a Bandit 1200. There are some decent roads heading out to and around Indy, should be a fun weekend. Hotel we are in is a Day's Inn I think.

Chris lives within "running" distance to the track... and only a "SHORT" walk to IRP or ORP if you are new school....

Still waiting to see if someone comes up with a meeting spot for the .oRgsters..

I'm game to meet up. I travel to Indy for work now and again so I am sudo familiar with the area. We could meet up at one of the restaurants out there and maybe go for a quick ride... Anyone interested?

The circle might be a good area.... a bit to look at while waiting for any late comers..

Looks to be some chocolate joint on the southwest quadrant of the Circle with seating.. (and parking)
