Seems like it, But How do people chrome them? they have to come out some way. I'm stripping them to anodize and I can't do it with them in.

Get a large punch and a big hammer if you don't have a press. You have to get them out because they will melt in the oven.

Thanks,
I did not want to try to tap them out with out asking first. They will be strped and hardcoated Black (anodized)
Thanks for the help!

ps.. Whta do they use to glew the rubber on the foot pegs? I want to do the pegs If I can re glue the rubber.

Well I tried a punch and a big hammer! no luck. it looks like they are also glued in. any other Ideas?

I turned a piece or aluminium to the right diameter and just pressed them out with the press.  If you haven't removed the rubber pieces on the pegs already try applying a little heat on the bottom edge first, they remove so much easier and cleaner.  As for the glue to re-attach them, In my honest opinion, after seeing them finished, you will not want to put the rubber pieces back on, in my opinion it's a much cleaner look and better foot traction.

if you have a vise and a socket set that is all you need. One socket on the back side that is just a little larger then the bushing and one that is just a little smaller on the front side. Place the setup in the vice and tighten it down. It will push it right out.

But he can only push/press from the little hole side?

bingo Devil dog!
The back side is a smaller hole and from that side you can only press the rubber. If both sides were the same size it would be no problem, I wouyld just press them out. I will take a picture of the back side (cam charging now)

Keep the ideas comming, I realy need to get these out, I cant drop them in the tank with them in.

Thanks for the help!!!!
