over the week end i went on a road rally.
1500 miles it 36 hours.
well i got 3rd place. my time was 28 hours and 7 minutes.
i was east bound on hiway 2 just out of east glacier park montana and let me say that was one speed run i will never forget.
the throttle was wide open in 6th gear
the speedo would go from about 210+ to 190 depending on wind and road
i was at that speed for so long that when i slowed down to 160ish for the corners it felt like i was bearly moving.
came over a rise and saw some signs of life ahead i.e. homes and slowed down to 90ish
i was already coming in to dupuyer montana
at the bottom of the hill as a state police car looked at my radar detector and F--- it was gone.went by him with his arm out the window pointing me over. so like a goodrider should i pulled over. and got a ticket for 84 in a 70. not to bad its only 20 bucks and it won't even go on my driving record.
pay the nice officer and off and runing again.
time for another valve adjustment. the busa is starting to tic alittle. i was at w.f.o. for too long maybe.
side note : why did god make moose so big and ugle. had a close call just out of libby montana
fyi my busa is stock exept for no rear fender of turn signal. i use the brake light for turn signals and put an l.e.d. on the back for a brake light were the reflector was
for those who read the 200hp post. i was just quoting the mods done on the formula x bike the won the 8 hr susuka race.it killed all the r1, zx9r's and the rest of the feild.
as of last year montana posted speed limits so they could get federal money for the hiways and to stop volvo ,bmw and other car companys from going there to test there cars on the open road.
the tic is a valve and not the tentioner
8000 miles of hard running.
