How low can I go??

I am learning to drag also and have put straps on the front. I have heard about these triple clamps. Where can I get them?

I'm racing my Busa in the Guernsey sprint this weekend and would like to lower the front using straps.

However the strip starts straight but then curves fairly sharply at the end, sharp enough to bank the bike over far enough to get the tyre worn almost to the edge.

My question is, how much can I strap the front down (preloading the suspension) and still be able to get round bend at 145+ mph??

LadyBusa, I tried to tell you about this in your own Topic, but you never responded so I took it that you felt it wasn't important?

If you want your Busa to respond the way it needs to at the track, then you need to get rid of those straps!

I copied & pasted this for you from one of My topics("Polished Triple Clamp"):
---------------------------------------------
JCS, are the aftermarket people that make this afordable Mod. (800)518-2200
There are three dealers for it:

1. Flat Out Racing (317)241-6414
2. Orient Express (800)645-6521
3. Schnitz Racing (800)837-9730

Each one of the dealers has there own name on the Clamp.

But,if you order one from JCS, you can get it without one of the dealers names on it.

And, the Triple Clamp works with the Gen-Mar Risers!

You're looking to get a ride in the Shock Trauma Helicopter if you attempt to take turns with the straps on! I can't figure why you'd want to lower the front end for anything other then dragracing but if you're hell bent on doing so, get the Schnitz Racing Triple Clamp so you'll have some suspension while being lowered...

Thanks for the advise, I guessed that might be the case....I just needed confirmation.

The Sprint is a drag race of sorts, 1/4 mile long but run against the clock 1 competitor at a time.

I have the clamp on order but as there are only 3 meetings in this championship every one counts.

If you put the Genmar riser on, you can lower the front 3/4". I'm not sure how this would effect the high speed stability when cornering.
