how many miles till a new tire?

I am at 3800 miles on my baby, I have only done 2 short burn outs, I am wondering when I need a new tire, I will take apic and post it maybe you can see the wear

I don't wait that long, when I start seeing the little treadwear bars, I start planning on a new tire. I usually take pretty long rides, and don't want to take a chance with a worn tire. It's no fun getting stranded.

This kid rode to Daytona with us last year and had to get a new tire on his way home, he of course couldn't get the best deal while he was in a pinch.

When I get down to the tread indicator bars I start looking for good prices on replacements. I was actually dang near out of tread on the stock 10R rear at around 1700 miles with NO burnouts... just hard riding. Was just into the wear bars at 1800 miles on the busa's stock rear. Only one burnout on it... Remember these pics anybody?

WOw that makes me feel alot better mine is no where near that bad. Mile wise what seems to be the average? 5000?

I'm finally in need of a new tire, if that makes you happy...after seeing the 200 in an earlier thread, I'm thinking "hrmm, I need that"

20 k scince may '03. 10 rear tires later..........simple math.

1500-5000 miles on the back tire. 3000-10000 on the front.
