How messed up is this?

I've been browsing eBay looking for parts when I saw an all-to-familiar image here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot....y=38663

This is the 1999 manual that I got about 4 years ago, for free. I scanned my own personal copy of the 2000 supplement, recompiled the whole thing and let it loose for everyone, for free. I put the Busa collage I made in the PDF (shown here with the IndustrialArtistry.com part cut off).

I don't know, is there something wrong with this picture?

Think I should be a ##### and report it?

Man, I've just seen more than my share of scammers in this society. Shame.

Oh, and how is everyone? I'm popping in and out when I can.

Man that's fuked. You ought to put an ebay add up with a $1.00 fee to download it broadband RIGHT NEXT TO HIS.

That would be funny.

Dont forget to add a line about EVERYONE ELSE using your DOWNLOAD to sell CD's. Looks like he's sold 28 so far.

I don't see the problem.. it's not his fault not everybody knows about the online version of it..

I'm not sure if the place he got it from has it copy righted or not.. if they do I guess he's breaking a law.. but if not.. good capatilism.. just because he's making money on something you can get for free doesn't make it wrong.

It doesn't really bug me at all. I see so many scams with people selling stuff widely available elsewhere for free on the net. I kind of find it funny, yet sad at the same time.

On another note, technically it is still illegal, and Suzuki is the one that should be pissed off at all of us.

I have a copy on CD. I will burn it for whomever wants it for $.25 cents plus $.42 for shipping. Thats .67....... I think I can become a millionaire that way??? Whatcha's think?

I bought one on Ebay last year before DSL was available in my area. Paid $10 bucks and it was well done and worth every penny, click on any index and it takes you right to the page you want. Even included the microfiche.

It's copyrighted material so whether you download it or sell the CD it's all illegal. No sense in drawing attention to either.

Did the same thing and bought one before I knew of the other free resources available. It's all good though.

I know I'm getting a bit off-topic here but, I'm into video games and when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas came out, I saw many people selling codes for the game on EBay. If you have access to EBay, you must have access to the internet. How hard would it have been to go to Yahoo! or Lycos and type in "San Andreas codes" to get the codes for free. Yet some people paid up to $15 for them.

ebay - proof positive that stupid, lazy people do exist and have money
laugh.gif

Seriously though, you can't fault the guy for trying to cash in on the fact that someone is willing to pay for it because they are either too stupid or lazy to find it for free

Nice remarks about stupid/lazy people.
In your world does everyone have access to a broadband connection? Wasn't available in my area until 5 months ago.
How about telling me how to d/l a 75 meg file on a 56k dial up while connected to a remote server that automatically drops out after 4 hours?

You guys are missing the point. The point is that the copy being sold on eBay is from THIS BOARD as evidenced by HIS ARTWORK! People sell easily available stuff that was free all the time. This was created for board members by a board member who even took the time to create a one of a kind graphic collage for it. Not only is he selling free stuff but he was even too lazy to change it to make it his own!
