How often is too often?

What's the opinion on calling the dealer to check on the status of a y2k. I'm of the opinion that I'm spending $10,799 and he shouldn't be too pissed if I call daily. I certainly don't want my bike sitting on his floor for days drawing future sales(not to mention all of the punks that might touch it!).

I've notice that my dealer marks the bikes that are spoken for with signs saying sold and do not sit on.(or at least he was when I bought my 99') I'm not sure about calling them every day. Guess I have mixed opinions since we do have a lot invested but on the other hand if they have promised to call when it arrives I don't think pestering them is going to help it arrive any sooner. It also helps to have a friend of the dealer check every so often.

SUGGESTION BH: Find out who is in charge of new bike prep at your dealership or at your dealer's warehouse. Pay the guy a visit and slip him $20 and your phone number to call you the moment the first shipment of Hayabusas arrive for prep work.

Dont get the same treatment I got. Waitied a WEEK for the dealership to bring a bike in from out of stated and as they are preping it im told the tank has a dent in it, and "We're sorry". I raised all kinds of hell as I had just payed cash for the bike. They offered to eplace the tank OR give me an alarm system with pager and remote kill for free. Well needless to say i have a new tank AND Alarm after I finished. Make Sure THEY BABY YOUR BIKE.

Right on BP. Always do a thorough inspection on delivery because once you're off the lot they're home free.

It depends on how you feel about your dealer. I'm confident mine will call me in a timely fashion. Otherwise I wouldn't be spending 10 large with him. I call once a week. Trans-Am in Lititz PA USA.

Bike Prep on a Busa is very little, the longest part is the charging of the Battery.

The paperwork (title) does not ship with the bike and comes by common carrier so your bike mat be there but with out the title you are not going any where.

Not neccessarily. When I bought my 99' they didn't have the title (bike had just arrived the day before) but agreed to send it to me when it arrived. I had the papers showing I had purchased the bike and a temp tag and took off. I received the title papers within a couple of weeks via registered mail. Maybe they were just doing me a favor?

My Dealer took my Busa off the floor as soon as I put down the deposit for it. I kind of felt sorry for those who hadn't got a chance to see one in person.
