How to change front signals?

I am new to the Busa and want to put some clear signal lenses up front, but have no idea how to get at them. I am guessing the upper fairing must come off, but not sure what is required? What has to be removed and how? Such as those little plastic pins - I don't want to damage anything...any help would be appreciated-pictures very helpful.....I haven't been able to find this listed anywhere else. Thanks in advance for any help

You have to remove the mirrors and front wheel mud flap. Then remove the nose fairing.

I think some people have done it just be removing the front mud guard and working blind. I find it easier to just take the nose cowl off...

+1, Remove the cowl...much easier.

Like CB said, remove the mirrors, mudflap...also the uppers (around gauges), windscreen, and the three fairing bolts on each side of the cowl. To remove the cowl, you will need to pull outward on the cowl - where the mirrors mount - while removing the cowl forward. Pulling outward is to clear the mounting points. There will be an electrical connector on the left side (as you're sitting on the bike) that will need to be unhooked to fully remove the cowl.

When reinstalling, reverse the procedure. You may want to put some masking tape around the fairing just to help avoid scratches. (or remove both fairing sides).

The procedure sounds more difficult than it really is. When I replaced my front signals, it took me 15 mins start-to-finish. The cowl is easy to remove/replace

fug all that fancy-nancy garbage. jes get out yer trusty Claw hammer and sum scotch tape.... tap tap KERRRRAAACCKKK bingo-slap on the tape n ya got clear signals.
takes about 1-to-2 mintues per signal

Thanks guys! I went with CharlesBusa & Omslaw as BigDiesel's ideas were a little too technical......it worked out great and I now have some blue lenses on my Blue/Silver baby!!!!!
