How to cut Plastics to fit Quick Access Clutch Cover?

I am about to install a DME Quick Access Clutch Cover on my Gen 2 Hayabusa.
I am a bit afraid to cut my right side plastic to fit the Cover.
Can anyone give any tips and tricks on how to successfully cut the plastic?
