Ok so maybe its a midlife crisis(at 32 ouch) but I and on a mission to make my 3 passions into a enjoyable job..

1 I love being a Fire Fighter/Medic
2 I love working on, talking aobut or ridding motorcycles
3 I love cooking, and the bar restaurant bizz..

so my challange is to tie all 3 together..
I could maybe

1 work for the fd for 10 more years while starting up a catering business.. But where owuld the motorcycles fit in,, so that gives us 1+1+1=2 no, need 3 not 2.

2 open a resturant/ bar serving good food, and have a weekley bike night..
uet again 1+1+1=2 not 3

or the other option is open a restaurant/bar, have a weekley bike night, while working for the fd.. This does give us the 1+1+1=3, but it will be a hard life cause I will spend a lot of time in the restaurant..

I am at a loss here, so I call upon you my Busa brothers, and sisters, my friends, my buddies, the ones i would not cal for bail beaucse you would be sitting there with me saying "damn that was fun".. I call upon you for ideas, for help in my math problem..

I am not talking a 5 star place here either,, I am not to hip on ultra snob places, nor do I want ot kiss that much booty.. I want a family type of place where good people can come and hag out..

ok open your restaurant with bike themed place hire someone to work there to run it and you oversee major decisions and come in a few nights to cook when you want to.. and work part time at the fd or work full time at the bar/ restaurant and do maybe volunteer fd stuff... you can always do i bike night

even get the fire dept to do a fund raiser bike wash to raise money for the organization for new gear or something and continue to cook p/t

Why not open a bike shop that has a resturant in it? If I had the cash, I would do that in Tulsa. Serve lunch, breakfast, whatever while your get new tires, chain, oil change etc.

It's easy. Ride the bike to work and cook dinner for the rest of the guys while makeing them listen to all of your stories about the Busa. What's so hard about that?

Rick Fearless did that in Dallas TX, his place is called Strokers.. It is a Big Dog dealer, as well as a bar under one roof. Seems like a pretty cool place have not been there before tho.

Be a medic fire fighter morotcycle mechanic columnist rider chef that works at a bar serving drinks. Simple. One stop shop!!

I have the same problem . . .

My best idea along with a few fellow Firefighters was to open a brew pub with a firefighter theme. Call it something like Smokey's or something to fit the theme. Model it after an old firehouse engine bay. We want to specialize in BBQ and grilled items along with brew our own beer. Either have bike nights or run a bike shop attached to the place.

Attach a grill to the back of your bike with a 100 foot hose inside it. 1+1+1=3 my friend

Just find an old fire station so that you can build a restaurant into it while hosting the occasional bike night.

Start a restaurant that delivers via the Busa to firemen on that are called out to a scene.

lol no not sorry I asked.. Some good ideas,, none that would work for me,, but good none the less..

How does 'Firehouse" sound for a name for the restraunt/bar..

One thing I want to do is offer normal bar food, but have real gourmet stuff as well. Ohwell, I will keep stream linning it and it will work,, not like it is gonna happen tomorrow.

Biker bar, Volunteer Fire department.

Just make sure you hire good staff who can handle things when you get a call.

Life balance can be difficult to attain. If I ever track it down, I'll let you know!
