How to remove the spring wiring guide so I can replace the steering lock cover? See diagram

I'm appealing to the brain trust here...I want to replace the steering lock cover (#5) with a custom one from All Things Chrome.
The two bolts holding the cover on (#6 ) need to be removed to accomplish this but the spring wiring guide (#4 ) blocks access to the bolts.
I can't get a socket in there and there is no room for a wrench.
It appears I need to remove the spring wiring guide to get to the bolts but how to do that without disassembling a bunch of stuff?
Or is there a trick to removing the steering lock cover that I'm not seeing?

I'm bumping this up to the front of the line. I think it got lost in the New Year's shuffle and didn't get seen. There's gotta be someone on here who knows the answer.

Any ideas on how that spring wiring guide comes off? It's the wire spring thing just in front of the steering lock that holds the cables.

I haven't found it yet but here is a link to download the service manual that may have what you're looking for. It's post #13 by HomicidalOtopus he has a link to the download. It works and is a good thing to have.

Yikes, I looked through the manual until my eyes got blurry and couldn’t find what I’m looking for.
The diagram I posted is from Revzilla so maybe the parts have different names than the manual.

Anyway, here is a photo. The left side of the red line is the wire guide, the right side is the bolt I’m trying to loosen ( there’s one on the other side too).

Oh jeez. I was hoping the spring was just clipped on and I could pry it off with a screwdriver.
Thanks guys, at least I got my answer.
Best bet is to unbolt the top plate the bars are attached to. Suzuki used waaaaay too much locktite and it's a pain but can be done. Go to youtube and look up Gen3 Hayabusa Helibar install. That'll help.
