I would like to know how to set up an account with products such as Joe Rocket, ICON ect...
Does anyone know how I might start? I was thinking of setting up a local shop dedicated to sport bike riders/enthusiasts and just sell apparel (jackets, gloves ect..)
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Shawn

Just apparel is kind of limiting your success. You will need to offer more than that to keep'em coming back.

Unless you carry different t-shirts, Harley New York merchandise, Motorcycle racing apparel and trinkets, videos, luchkits...etc, etc.

Also list it on Ebay to get some advertisement.

I agree . Just selling apparel will not get many return customers . Leathers last a good long time . Tires , oil , chains , filters and general maintenance items for bikes will keep them coming back regular . There is a place called cycle gear here in Tampa. They don't sell bikes but they sell just about everything for a bike you might want . Except Amsoil and Joe Rocket apparel .

Most Manufacturers and Distributors require you to have a commercial store front, tax permit, and business license. At least they did when I had a small shop in the late 80s early 90s. Some manufactures will only sell through distributors. I believe two of the biggest distributors are still Tucker Rocky and Parts Unlimited. I think ICON is an example of a Parts Unlimited exclusive. Some out of country gear manufactures have a single import source in the US.

Unless you are going to order large quantities, the manufacturer will require you to by from a wholesale distributor. Call the companies you are interested and ask to speak to their national sales manager or ask for the name and phone number for the representative in your area if they use independent reps. An independent representative could also make it possiable to have access to other manufacturers they may represent.

Thanks for all the good information. Alot of good ideas and direction! Guess I have to find some contacts now.
Thanks again,
Shawn
