I would like to take the blue nose piece off but wanted to ask here before dismantling the whole front end. Thanks!

I have yet to see a gen3 in person.
But; knowing Suzuki and how they assemble bikes, you will need to take the nose off to get to all of the plastic fasteners without breaking any of them.
That blue trim piece won't just snap in and out from the front for a quick color change(unfortunately).

Hello Friend

If you want to take of the blue part under the Headlight...your Bike will look like that!

You have to remove the complete side fairing, the Display, the Windschield and the Ram Air Intake under the color part. Front fairing, Ram Air Intake and the color part is clipped arround the Headlight and fixed with screws. Its a hell of work. Its possible, that the Headlight can stay in the Frontframe, but its much more easier to remove all the parts arround the Headlight.

Just look at the left up corner, there you will see, the headlight and the part you want to change.

Uggh. I was afraid that was going to be the case. Thanks for the help!
Not sure how invested you are into getting the color bits off but my dealership did swap all the blue bits onto the matte silver and the red bits onto the white... if you called I bet Dave would at least give you the quick and dirty on it.. Dealership is Deland Motorsports in Deland FL.

hope this helps..

I've got a million parts ALL over the garage and office. Hope I can remember how it all goes back together. :p Just wait until you see what I'm building. By the way, if you disassemble the head light, "Please" be careful taking these pieces apart. They are well designed to integrate, so they're a bit complex to take apart !.....take your time, and be gentle.

Any pics of the Silver/Blue combo?

Sorry for pic quality but that’s all I had that the salesman sent me. The silver/blue is sick but I hate caring for matte paint. You can’t repair scratches, nothing containing a wax or polish, can’t rub too much or too hard as that makes it shiny. Too much of that and it will look blotchy to the trained eye… or some Kawasaki bro just looking to bad mouth the Zu.

True Words.........i have to wait 3 1/2 month for the spareparts, i´ve ordered from Suzuki after the accident! Believe me.......every night, before i fall asleep, i´ve checked the pictures in my head, where and how to backinstall the parts!!!! :D Shure i´ve made a lot of pictures....but there are so many screws, they look the same, but they werent! Weeks over Weeks i try not to forgett how everything fits.....but then......the day was there! And then..aaaaahm....yeah.....

Like my daugther said, "this is LEGO for insane adults". And yes you are right, treat her like a lady....and so do with the parts. When you dont have patience......it can be veeeery expensive! :D

Honestly, this is one of the nicest fitting set of components I've had the privilege of working on. It's really a great kit. That being said, I have an intimate knowledge of the prior two generations, and the fit and finish of the puzzle of parts in my head, right down to the mechanicals. Funny thing is that there's always a , "Oh crap, that goes there moment", in every reassembly. I prefer that moment to be with body parts rather than motor.

As far as the electrical set, the fuel system, the body parts, the hydraulics, the drivetrain, this one is extremely well-engineered for accessibility "once" you get the puzzle of parts all figured out, and then there's the screws, the push pins, the clips, the grommets.........

I haven't seen Suzuki spend this much time on detail in a long time, if ever.

No problem... I should've taken better pics when I picked mine up... it is a super nice fit but the matte kills it for me.. I'm a clean freak with my vehicles and matte doesn't lend itself to being cleaned often.

Thanks for posting these- this is totally happening.
Should be ordering my white ‘22 in a couple of months.

Had a silver/blue 2000 gen 1….can’t wait to have a busa back again.
