Where I live the H is usually silent, providing the truncation from the W into the rest of the word, making it a "wooouuuuh" swoop instead of a quick "wuh" sound. H emphasis is blow lots of air out first: Where = "HUUUOOO-WAA-AIR" Get it? Ah, you know what I mean.

do you say HwHere or Wear for Where? and why? or rather Hwhy?

Hehehe, +1

The way we say it is, where=ware, when=wen, and whip=wip.

I'm a Kansan so what do i know?! hehehe

It depends on if I am out of breath or talking really fast. I try to make a point of correct Pronunciation in front of the students...

But then again I came from the midwest where they say Warshington.

Out here in Mexifornia, we have another issue and that's with the letter "J". Is it Hulio or Julio?

I live near a road called Jamacha (pronounced Hamashaw).. you ought to hear my GPS butcher that one!

ok, so this REALLY started because when I call the Time and Temp line 515-244-5611, they have this guy that goes through this advertisment first and at the end he says, "no matter HWhat, no matter HWhen." and it kills me
