hp diff?

I couldnt really find anything much in search. im sure it has been said so forgive my inability to find it. I was just wondering what the difference in hp was between the g1 and g2. I mean stock to stock out of the crate. It has always befuddled me how hp is so hard to nail down. iv truly learned that dynos are like politicians. no explanation needed there....lol
anyway. stock as in show room. from factory. I have an 06 and was just curious. I have been told and read in many places that the g1 should be around 155 at the wheel.

The reason I ask is that i had my trusted friends at EPC here in dayton put a full alien head exhaust on with airbox mod, pc3 with brock map on it. i really have no idea what the true hp is nor would i have any way to really truly find out in a reliable way what it is. Im going to take a wild guess and say that it is maybe around 170hp now. but again just totally guessing. i did a dyno pull last year in the heat of the summer outside and the numbers were totally funny stupid.. it was like 186hp with 102 ft pounds of torque. I paid $40 for 4 pulls.... I did it for a charity function actually. The only thing i did figure out that was accurate was that the speedo stopped at 170mph. Thats is were it hit the limiter. I was running -1+2 at the time. I have a speedo healer on it verified by gps as to accuracy so that number was probably close. I was always curious as to what the limit would be on that gearing. At least I found that out. Now im at -1-1. I like the ride a lot better with that combo. ....sorry

got way off topic. anyway how much on average?????:bowdown:
 
From what I've seen diffs stock to stock are about 20hp maybe .
I see stock figs on genI around the 150 mark give or take and figs for genII around 170 give or take .

Modded the GenIIs get up to if not right at 200 and GenIs come up to about 170.
More power I think is readily available from the newer bikes .
 
It is supposed to be 20% increase according to Suzuki.... Numbers do vary according to conditions and instruments tho.
 
From what I have seen and read.... Stock Gen 1 155 to 158 rwhp. Stock Gen 2 170-177rwhp. Gen 1 with full pipe, tune and bolt ons 166-170rwhp. Gen 2 full pipe, bolt ons, tune 180-189rwhp.

That's debatable....depending on the mods the Gen 1's are more accepting of HP gains due to sturdier inners. :whistle:
 
My Gen I puts down 172 at the wheel. It has a full Micron exhaust, power commander w/ custom tune, k&n filter, and sealed intake tubes.
