I don't understand the purpose...

looks like decent quality though... so it's got that going for it.. somebody I'm sure would buy sometim' like that..

maybe they have a vinyl theme like some people have carbon, or chrome.. ya know?

Make it rigid, with a plastic frame or something, then set it up to lock into place without the hump there. Then put a zipper in it and you could have a little tent type deal for quick access storage when needed on long trips....like a busa tonneau cover....

Not for me, but I guess guys who like tank bras might go for it. I don't see it as a volume mover, but you never know I guess.

Embroidery might be attractive also.

I don't know, imo it kinda takes away from the whole purpose of the hump...smooth and aerodynamic to cut down on turbulance

Now a bra that fits the tank that nice would probably be a big seller.

I don't understand the purpose...
Same purpose as a tank bra. I got scratchs on my hump from my book bag. I would buy it. Hell throw some embrodry on it and you might have a cash cow depending on the cost which shouldnt be higher than a standard tank bra

That is exactly it, Him. I keep hitting the hump with my jeans and the other day I grabbed 13 cft scuba tank ( I own a Scuba Shop) and put it in my back back to take home and clean out my desktop. Well, the entire ride home I was laying on the gas tank so as not to hit the hump with the backpack and the heavy metal cylinder. So, one of my customers made this for me. He is in the fine furniture restoration biz.
I asked him to make another with the Busa symbol on it.
The best thing is that he padded the front and now it doesn't hurt my tail bone to slide back. Thanks for the input. -EZ

Well I guess that would be one hell-of-a ride; if you fell off the bike and knocked the valve off the tank strapped to your back

But I would not wish for anyone to fall off their bike.

yep, when riding with a backpack on I was always leaning way over the tank to avoid scratching the hump... that's a great idea there. do ya think this guy of yours will market them?

I would buy one for when I'm riding with my hard case backpack ... I wouldn't leave it on all of the time, but it is a nice functional and novelty item ... yeah I would buy one ... but of course I'm a bagster tank cover guy too !

You know you can't dive WITH your Busa...right?

I liked the idea of making it able to hold cargo..

a plastic shell inside the vinyl and a zipper in the front/bottom to put some junk in would be cool. Very cool for medium trips.

speaking of which.. i needa post some pics of my bike with it's panniers mounted.. hehe.

Nah, I like the zipper Idea... Insulate it and You got yourself a beverage holder...

OR... I dunno... Interesting but if I were worried about scratches on my hump, I would simply use some clear vinyl, or maybe a small pad velcro'd onto the front.

Not crapping on your idea, but you asked.

Hell Man, Slap Fuggin LV all over it and you'll sell millions of em!!!

Greta feedback, thank you guys, I am locating a reliable embroidery facility for Kanji on front and a quote for #'s on the sides. BTW what are the size req's for #'s at the track and are they 3 or 4 digit?
The zipper idea is a really good one. A way to keep it fully expanded would need to be worked on. Maybe cut a door and fix the door onto the zippered section. That would mean we gotta find extra scuffed up humps to cover.
I talked to the guy who does the industrial sewing and he said we could make one that had a pad on the front and just a 2 inch wide strip down the backbone and tucked in the rear.Colors could show easily then. Thanks again-EZ

o, I am diggin the vinyl theme, I might have a serious problem....
