Having the grab bar on with the hump would probably jepordize the bike's aerodynamics. Believe it or not, the hump does play a factor in the bike's aeros. Plus since the busa was built for top-end speed they probably wanted to save weight. Adding the grab bar would add a few pounds. I'm assuming since Suzuki intended the grab bar to be for the passenger, they probably guessed we wouldn't try to max out the bike with another person onboard.

i used some masking tape to mark where the cut would need to be, masked the whole hump to prevent scratches.

Unmasked the area and needed to be grinded off, use the bar to check for thickness (the cut should be just about the same height of the side of the grab bar).

Used a dremel with rotary grind tool... finished it with a smaller blade for the edges, then sanding it down.
Take your time or the paint will chip (hence the masking tape here).

Also test fit it plenty and you should be golden!

Also, you might want to grind from the inside so that if you happen to burn the hump, it won't show on the outside...

Becareful with the dremel. Watch your speed, if you go too fast the hump will start to melt were you are cutting.

Make sure when you use masking tape it fairly new it will serve two purposes one you can  draw out your template and two it will help keep your surface area cool and clean no jagged edges. Good Luck
