So, I have a new building (50 x 52 with 24ft ceiling at the peak) for our RV and have a big woodstove to heat the place when we are here. The question is how to heat the place when we are traveling.

I don't need to heat it to 70 + degrees, just enough to keep stuff from freezing.

I posed this question and what I'm finding is that a 15KW air handler is about the cheapest way to go. (as far as electric) Industrial shop heaters are looking to be twice or more as expensive.

Anybody have any advice? If you know a good source for the air handler it would be appreciated as well!

If all you want is a little heat to keep things from freezing when your gone, why not go with a quality space heater?
You can buy an electric Eden Pure for $200 to $300.
I know several people that have them in their shops, homes, and businesses.
They do an amazing job, especially to be so small. They have programable thermostats, use little electrcity, and are very quiet.
The only part of the entire cabinet that gets hot is where the heat blows out.
They do need to be elevated around 3' on a concrete floor, or they struggle warming it up. Otherwise they are great.
I wouldn't waste the money on an air handler unless I was going to spend alot of time in the shop and also wanted ac.
Just my 2 cents.

I had looked at ways to heat my garage as well. its attached 2 car. I never found an electric heater that would do the job i dont think. Although i remember seeing one that hooks up from the ceiling area that looks like a typical shop heater but its expensive. Id be interested to see what recommendations come out for this.

your looking at heating 62400 cubic feet. A little electric heater is not going to get the job done. You are on the right path with a small air handler....or find yourself a propane heater that hangs from the ceiling...most efficient. You can get them with thermostats etc and set the temp you want to keep it at. Its the high ceiling that is going to make ya work to keep it warm...hope it is heavily insulated.
