Hydrolock??

When my 2003 Busa is hot and I shut it off, It is hard to start. It is almost (or is) acting like a hydrolock. I hit the start a couple times for a short time, and then I am able to crank it up. Is this the norm, or a problem. If it is a problem, whats the fix?
The bike has about 7000 miles, and I purchased it a few months back at about 5k.

Crack the throttle alittle when you try to crank it and see if that helps,Check battery voltage,Starter clutch maybe going out.Alot of varibles,is it making any clunking noises,is it dragging to start?

no abnormal noises. Starter drags I guess. Seems like the motor is hard to turn over. If I hit it quick a time or 2, the starter acts normal and cranks right up.

Sounds like Starter clutch or starter may be on it's way out.check battery voltage with bike off,check with key on and check it when you go to start it.

If you have a weak battery you can get these symptoms
oh and it can be compounded by a TRE and the weak battery!.
also check all your battery terminals

You could have a crack allowing Coolant to seep into the cylinder. If only shutting off for a few moments and it doesn't do this I would say fluid is seeping into a cylinder somewhere..
