This is about a 15 minute job: Remove the hump,Remove the 2 tank bolts and prop the tank, Unplug the injector harness, plug the Pc3r into the harness, plug the other end of the injector harness into the other harness on the pc3r,run your cable back towards the rear of the bike, disconnect the negative side of the battery, connect the ground lead of the pc3r to the negative side of the battery and reconnect terminal. Place your velcro where you want it,(the compartment in the trunk is the preferred place)Mount the pc3r. Now: you can load your map from the map database at dynojet.com. You will need to install the power commander software on your laptop. Once you've installed your software, connect the usb cable to your pc3r and your laptop.Locate the map that best fits your mods, select "send map" you will see either map loaded successfully or unable to find a power commander, if its the latter, you will need to configure the right usb port.Oh I forgot, before you send the map to the Pc3r, turn the key to the on position, but do not crank. Thats it, You can usually find a descent map on the site, but a custom map will almost always be better, give johnnycheese a PM. Great guy to do business with and knowledgeable.Hope this helps. There are tutorials on how to do this anf the install on the web site (dynojet.com.):)

Checkout http://www.powercommander.com

Its a pretty comprehensive site... and you can download manuals for installation and setting up the PC3r!

Hope that helps. You also might want to talk to JohnyCheese if you get stuck with something. Here is the resident tuning Guru

oh crap dude.. I reprinted the manuals.. did I not put them in the box??

geez.. I'm sorry as hell if I didn't. I could have sworn I put the install, and the other book thing in there?

Hmmm..

Isn't the PCIIIr non USB? doesn't it require going through a serial port?

The PCIIIusb I believe is the USB version.

Just wanted to state this because if he does have a PCIIIr he will probably go nuts trying to find the USB port

I sold it to him.. and yes.. it's the IIIr version.. so it uses the serial port.

I believe he's got it sorted out.. I can't believe I didn't put the installation guide in there. what an idiot I am..

Veloz.. man I'm so sorry if I left it out. I'll look for it tomorrow at work and see if it's laying around somewhere and get it to you ASAP in case you ever need it again.
