I have to click starter button slightly twice or three time to make headlight on.

Hi guys i am new to hayabusa. Need little assistance.
When i start my bike the headlights dont go on by themselve i need to click slightly the starter button twice or three times to make it on , is it just a dust or carbon inside or some other issue, what should i try to to make it on by default on 1st click to starter.

Isn’t there a delay for the headlight to come on when starting the bike? Lessens the draw on the battery during startup.

I can’t speak for all markets, but it works like this here:
oh, Gen2…

The starter button is like a dpdt setup.
At rest the n/c is providing power to the light circuits
When pushed in the light circuit goes n/o and the starter circuit goes n/c
Once released, the switch goes back to n/c for lights and n/o for starter.

On the Gen2, there’s no elec smarts to delay the lights, just a mechanical switch

Should i try with some WD-40 TO CLEAN IT UP AND SEE IF it goes back to normal or not

WD40 sure won’t hurt anything, worth a try imo.

Remove the right side switch block from the handlebar, remove the starter switch and clean the contacts with fine wet and dry sand paper with a little WD40 also.
Reassemble switch block and reinstall it to handlebar.
Test starter and check for correct operation of starter and lights etc.
should take around 20 mins to do this.
