I hope this question doesn\'t have an obvious answer.

Because I'll feel stupid!

I just installed the PC2 in my bike. I do not own a laptop. The cable that comes with the PC2 is about 5' long. I am told by my wife that I am not allowed to bring the Hayabusa into the house.(WHY NOT?!) It would be a tremendous pain in the *** to setup my computer in the shed where my bike is.

My question is how do I program the PC2. Can you program it while its disconnected from the bike? I looked in the PC2 CD but didn't find an answer. Also does the PC2 use any current when the bike is off? I had an alarm in my old Katana that would drain the battery in 2 weeks if I didn't disconnect the battery leads.

Rob, the PCII needs power to accept a new map. Like installing software in your pc, it has to be turned on.

DynoJet does not publish this in the info or on their site. They sell a stand alone power supply ($100) so you can program the PCII from the comfort of inside your house. Other than that send the wife and kids to Disney World bring the Busa in from the cold shed, if she comes home early she at least didn't find you at home with your "cousins, the twins from nursing school" keeping you company.

that is correct Motorhead now he is smarter so it was NOT a stupid question, and I also learned that I didnot know about the power supply

Thanks for the help guys! I think I can borrow a laptop from someone at work. $100 is too much for a power supply for the occasional remap of the PC2.

Hey Omega! BUY,BUY,BUY,BUY the 1300R before your head explodes!

OMEGA

You better have your BUSA broken in by the time I get to Miami!
I'm giving you plenty of time. I'll be there sometime in early April.

Ride Safe but do ride a BUSA :)

Kawabuser,
Did you get an e-mail from me last night? I think your e-mail snet acts a little screwy sometimes. Let me know, I'll resend it if you didn't.

Rob... Email me I have a couple of laptops that we can load the PC2 program to. I'll take a day and bring one down. It would be educational to see the thing work.
