You have a quite roomy office there.

I spent 5-1/2 years riding submarines, and any space we had was very precious.

When you add all of my underway time together...I have spent 2 years of my life UNDER the ocean's surface.  This doesn't include time spent on the floating target (surface ship) doing a Med cruise.

BTW:  Glad we were able to give you guys a ride

Haze grey and underway for 4 years on the USS California CGN-36 based out of PSNS Bremerton, Wa from 92-97.

She's was decommissioned the year after I got out.

USS Cimaron (Oiler) ,USS Whipple (Anti-Sub) Cinpacflt head Qtr, Sea Bee Unit, Navy News. All in a 5 yr tour at Pearl Harbor.

I'm just a crusty old Shellback.

Somehow I always managed to drink more then enough. God help the Country that you pull into after that long at sea!
As far as having an office like that above, shoot I didn't have anything like that. Would have made the time alittle better I guess

oh yeah..we made it allright..but we ended up pulling in townsville..the whole ship was wishin for sydney but the capt said it was too many ships ported already..dammit..maybe next time...and man..the ladies down under...are the nicest

I was on the Tarawa in 2003, I was with a Depot team fixing a couple of Helos while you guys were in Bahrain.
My ships go like this:
USS Okinawa (91 and 92 decomm)
USS BWood (93)
USS Ft Mac (93)
USS Duluth (99)
USS Juneau (2000)
USS BWood (2000)
USS Essex (2000) Hullswap
USS Juneau (2001)
2003 with the depot repair team:
Kitty Hawk
Kincaid/Fletcher
Boxer
Tarawa

Had a few beer days, and shellback here as well (from my first float)
