For the last week I have been working nights hanging a 24" water line off FM 2252 (Nacogdoches) bridge crossing Loop 1604 (Anderson Loop). Tex DOT requires that 1604 be shut down in both directions before doing any work over it. Due to the high volume of traffic this can only be done between 10pm to 5am. In this area 1604 is a 4 lane with a concrete median . Traffic was diverted for at least a mile in both directions with off duty officers blocking the on ramps with the red and blues flashing, cool guys BTW one was a fellow bike nut .By now some of you are on to what I didn't think of untill about an hour before the road was to be opened up for the last time. Last night all I was doing was babysitting a subcontractor and a few men doing clean up all of which were on the same side of the median .Huuuum what would be cool to do on a 2 mile stretch of highway with no traffic or cops and good lighting. I wish I would have thought about bringing the Busa with me when I left last night. I mentioned my late idea to the crew and they were all saying go get it now you can still make it back in time. But by then it was getting too close to time to start opening the lanes back up. Maybe next time.

that would have been FUN! of course, we would have required video of it!

that is a FREAKING GREAT section too .... yeah you owe yourself one smack in the head for sure

The only thing that could have made it better is if I would have got the signal company to bring one of those radar sighns that shows the drivers speed when they pass. My boss is always wanting intersting job pictures to hang in the office.

Thats ok 1604 is a racetrak any other time with the speeds of most cars. Just trying not to point out the MISSED OPPORTUNITY YOU HAD

I am sure the next time you will be ready.
