hey, im new to this site, and i dont have a streetbike or anything, but i do need a hayabusa motor. i hear they're pretty good and me and my buddy are makin a offroad golf cart and all we need now is a motor (we had one, but it didnt work out quite like we expected). So i was wonderin if u guys could help me out with finding a motor, either someone on here that has one for sale, or a good junk yard or something. I just need somethin that i know runs, and i just need the electrical with it, basically just what it takes to run it. If u dont know where i can get one do u guys at least know what a good price for one is? i found one that was goin for 1200 and it was some kind of "kit" from a salvage yard, is that a good price? thanks for all ur help.

The go for 2000-3000 range normally depending on the year and mileage.

You are gonna need the throttle bodies/fuel pump and wiring harness/ecu also. Then you will need to either get an airbox or come up with your own air filter system. Also you will have to think about the exhaust. gonna custom build one?
You may need more than that, I don't know, havent built a kit from the ground up.

I got an good engine for sale and an airbox. PM/email me if you are interested.

hey guys i was thinkin.... do u know anything about gsxr 1000's? i wonder if those motors would be any cheaper. we are actually lookin for somethin for less than 1K if possible and 2-3K for a busa is a lot of money. if u have any info on a gsxr 1000 it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

It isn't going to be much cheaper for something with FI!

Your best bet is to get something from an older bike without fuel injection. That way you can just run a throttle cable and fuel tank from anything without having to match it up to a ECU.

Plus you won't need an airbox, you can just rig any filter up to the throttle bodies. If you have got to have something with POWER, I would think a pre-97 GSXR1100 would work but I don't think you could find a ready to run one for under $1500!?!?!

You will probably have to buid your own from several junk motors for that price!

well im sure it wont do 200. i would say 150 if we're lucky. but it will work, i can guarantee it. i just need to find a motor and ill show u guys. in fact, the whole thing is pretty much done the only thing keepin it from runnin is the motor and we need to get some front shocks.

well i think we have a digital camera but i've never used it so i can try but im busy tomorrow so i wont be able to have em up til thursday at the earliest, but i will try!
 
sorry they're kinda blurry, i've never used the camera before. also i found a motor, so im happy, but u guys wont be, its a yamaha, yep a 97 R6. i dont have anything against yamahas and that motor was cheap (even with shipping across country). so maybe when i get the motor in ill take some pics of me doin wheelies in it or something!
