Ok here's the deal. Most of you already know my busa got stolen last week. I'm still waiting on the insurance company to settle and it should be the end of the month. So if you are planning on selling yours I'ld appreciate if you keep me in mind.

Contact if

1) The price is realistic for the year and mileage

2) I'ld like to see it and I don't mind driving or flying in to check it out ...Nope I'm not gonna believe you are out of the country and the bike is at a friend who doesn't feel safe meeting with strangers so i can just send it to an escrow account ---lolol

3) Have a clear title or let me know if it not before i get there to pick it up

4) I'ld appreciate pics

Ok you get the drift ... I'm been on the board for a while so you can get a feel for the type of person I'm ... however look over me for the moment I'm suffereing with busa withdrawals!

You know Dez? I was so pissed off about what happened to you that I came very close to not going. Not that I was worried about my bike, but it just didn't feel right anymore. Here I am all excited about going to Myrtle and meeting a lot of you guys from the East coast and then that poop happens. The anticipation was spoiled from that point on. Needless to say that I still went, but I swear everytime I saw an '01 blue/silver Busa, I couldn't help but wonder if it was yours. Now I realize that someone would have to be a complete idiot to steal a bike, and then floss it around a large event like that (would definitely win first prize at the Darwin Awards...), but I've seen it happen before. In my heart I felt that your bike was there and that someone just simply switched the plastics on it. I'm still sorry about that bro. I wish you all the luck in getting a new one.

Dezzy, I with Big B.  But I still think you should consider starting fresh...  Use what the insurance company gives you, though be sure it's fair, KBB Value (Retail) is $7390, trade in is $5100...Split the difference... So I wouldn't tolerate/except less than about $6500.  Then take that fat Check and drop it on a brand new 04' Blue and Silver and never look back.  With that sort of down payment, your monthlies would be pretty minimal...  But at least if you can do brand spanking new you will know where you stand and you'll have that warranty...

i've been thinking about that.. Trying to catch a deal thats not a scam is more difficult than I imagined. I'm gonna start checking with dealers today to see what kinda deals they have. Best so far has been 9600 out the door for a new 04.

Heck who knows i may beriding again by the end of the week

Check back with me ina couple weeks if you are still looking. I might be your man. I really cant afford the two bikes I have, but I am not sure whether which or both to keep. I am heading to the gap next week with the R1, we will see what happens upon my return. There is a post about it in the for sale section but its a good ways back. The price has gone down considerably and the bike is just as good.
