Back in the day when I had a hopped up Volkswagen, we slid that thing around corners and had a good ole time!

I got a little bored today and took the bug out of storage, I might not be able to drive it or any of my toys again for another almost year and a half (leaving for Japan) so I'm trying to get in what I can... I'll miss this hog... Sorry, this is a pretty worthless post right now.

It's such a mismatched engine and it kills me. It's a 1600cc that I bored and stroked to a 2110cc, put a huge cam in it, a pair of 40idf Webers, and stock 041 heads that are choking the craaap out of it. The cam is good to roughly 6700rpm but the heads stop flowing at about 4400. I need to tear it down and redo a few things but I can't justify $1500 into a car that's already fun at the moment.

You will find more than enough bad ass little cars in Japan to mod out for your fancy. Look into the Gen One Toyota Celica or the Corolla GTS, or the Nissan Sylvia or the Fairlady Z shoot.. go wild and look into the Mitsubishi classics like the Starion and the Sapporo to see what fun the Japanese are having with its rear wheel drive lightweight package.. It really is like fast and the furious down there. You could boost that car to 600HP and just drift all over Okinawa or Tokyo at night until you get imprisoned and deported like a guy I once knew. So be careful because that kind of performance is addictive and just like an addict you will lose all reason and logic due to the exhilaration it provides you. Arigato Gozaimas!!!
