I screwed Up...

My '08 Busa has been sitting in my garage since this past November. As I'm getting ready to do my oil change and such to get her ready for the spring, I realized that I didn't put any fuel stabilizer into the tank :banghead:. How much trouble am I in?

I've never used it...never had issues either, and I have a 2003 that sits every winter...

Don't get too upset; fire her up and see how she runs :)

Cool. Makes me feel a little better. I'm taking the battery off the tender mid-week when my HID's get here so hopefully all will be fine. Thanks.

How much fuel is in the tank? If you can add some to it, put a little higher octane in. Should help out o bit. But, like Michelle said, you shouldn't have an issue.

+1 How much fuel did you leave in the tank? I always park my vehicles with a full tank to limit the amount of air and hence the condensation that can form putting water (and if a metal tank rust) in your fuel. 4 months is not going to hurt even if it was not full since it is a closed system. Michelle is right, ride and see how it runs then just top it off with some fresh gas and you won't have any problems.

Now if you want to see a screw up, you should have come over and watched me work on my clutch this weekend!

These are tough old birds, so she may just start right up once the battery is charged.

Cool. Thanks again for the assurance guys. The weather here (Cleveland, OH) is supposed to clear up in the next couple days, so this week I'll be changing the oil and getting her ready for riding season!

If I was you, I'd add some fuel injector cleaner or something to it... If you kept it filled up to the brim, I doubt you'd have any probs.

Get some good quality gas in the tank as soon as possible. I wouldn't bother with the Sea Foam unless it's running like crap, and even not sure then.

Of course, Marvel Mystery Oil is another story. At least that smells good! :)

My bike sat from nov. till about 2 week's ago without running. It only had about a gallon of gas in it, but it was in the living room downstair's in heated slumber. You should be fine. If I left it in the cold garage I would have filled the tank and dropped a little stabilizer.
