Not hard to do. Just very time consuming without the right tools.
Hi. If it is just a crack drill a hole at the end of the crack then V out the crack then heat the filler strip of plasic into the V sand out the hight spots then fill the low spots with a flexable plastis filler sand prime and paint. Do both sides to make it like new.Got a mate who can do a fantastic repairs , all from his home shed using cut strips of abs plastic sourced from broken panel pieces . He repaired the tail section on this bike , one of his bike builds years ago . The tail piece was from a famous Aussie racers bike from back in the day , ( might have even been from a Wayne Gardner bike , forgot what he told me ) . He wanted that history on this build , so learnt how to plastic weld , which he found easy . Had a couple of GSXR fairings welded by him and they never have broke .
Quick pic of his bike (only pic i can find quickly )

Hi. Just heat the tip of an old screwdriver.First tip
My panel was cracked piece the size of a penny missin in the center of the three web crack
If I could have taped the outside and held them flat and levelie,er tacked them on the inside

Have been using a old soldering ironHi. Just heat the tip of an old screwdriver.
Hi. I just fill the lowerest holed, sand off the high I will just call them plastic slag and then fill with a flexable filler from a auto parts store that sells auto body supplies I think Sem makes the filler.
I have the Harbor Freight one and it worked amazingly well on the nose of my Infiniti after I hit a raccoon last year! The kit comes with Stainless steel mesh that gets melted into the backside to reinforce the repair so it has proven pretty durable as well. The only downside is that after prolonged use the Brass tip eventually snaps off. There are stronger ones available on Amazon you just have to re-tap it for 1/4-28 thread.Cheapy Plastic welding kit finally showed up off ebay seller forgot to ship it
things big flat tip works amazingly well
