tubes inside the aftermarket triple clamp cover.  Or should i put the stock cover back on.  LEt me know  I want to keep the aftermarket one on, but i dont know how it will look.  The reason i am lifting it back up is when my wife rides i bottom out a lot, and when i wheelie and come down to hard my fender gets hit by the nose of the bike.  What if i put the bike back to stock in the rear will it pfuck up by having the front too low?  Let me know

You can stiffen the rear shock to compensate, the after market clamp should work fine at stock height though. I don't know if it will "hurt it" to raise the back and keep the front lowered but, I would not just for the sake of handling and appearance both.

When you're coming down from those wheelies, you should gas it a little to make the landing more smooth.

Just stiffen the rear shock for that ride with the wifey. Also try stiffening the front shock so that it won't compress so easily on re-entry from those wheelies.

Dumb question. How do i make the front forks stiffer. is it the top of the forks or the bottom of the forks.

I figured it out. Pulled out the trusty owners manual and stiffend up the ride. Still have yet to take it out, but i only clicked one at a time to check it. Thanks for all the feedback.

i hope adjusted the correct ones.. u want more preload on it not dampning or rebound.. actually u want stiffer springs inside the forks.. race tech makes aftermarket springs for them to make them stiffer

Just need a little. It only bottoms out and rubs the plastic when wifey is on back. when im one up no hitting, unless i come down to hard off a wheelie.

Rebound just controls how fast the suspension comes up, preload controls how much it compresses. More preload is what you need.

I did only the compression.....didnt touch the rebound. i feel little difference. still bottoms out every now and the. just have to watch where u going.

I am getting my fork rebuilt right now should get them back tomorow. When I talked to the tech at Race Tech he said that the stock fork spring are made for someone who is 150 to 170 lbs. Well I think I weighed that in Jr. High. I now weigh around 270 or so. The sping i'm getting are going to be alot stiffer and should help the front end from diving and bottoming out. If you want to spend the money they will also re- valve your forks and shock for the way you ride. I'll probably get the rear done in a couple of months.

J i see you're in riverside.... isnt it nice to have race tech in our area..among chatterbox, lockhart phillips, buttonwillow track, willow springs track, CA speedway )all having trackdays), Yoshimura, among other stuff.. gotta love socal...

BB you are going about this all wrong player... Use an airshock/air compressor. You can drop it low for player mode and lift it back up for hubby mode. I'll post a couple of pics later in the week.
