ICQ is done by Mirabilis, which is owned (only recently) by AOL.

You can download ICQ from:

http://www.mirabilis.com.

I believe the latest version of it is version 99B. It is a bit like AOL's Instant Messenger, though I like the interface and flexibility of ICQ much better.

Installation is easy. After that, it's a case of knowing each person's ICQ #.

using it to talk to each
other on-line?

that would be cool if
everybody downloaded icq
and we all could chat with
one another when we were
on-line.

i forget how i recieved icq.
i think it came through the
internet explorer.

i think it's part of the
critical updates package.

i haven't had a chance to
play around with it yet
but it looks like a
neat thing to have.

anyway if anybody knows
of a simple way to download
icq, they need to post it
here so other members can
jump aboard and do some chatting...frank

The latest version has sound capability but not vid.

It's handy alright and you don't end up getting abused by anyone cause you can bar them from your ICQ. Good feature that.
