Ok you's guy's. I have a 05 Blue/Silver Busa and still only have 450 miles on it. Between a 8 month old daughter Sierra Nicole) and trying to settle a multi year/multi million dollar contract Government contract I ain't finding enough time to ride. Anyway my wife says I can spend 1K right now in mods. I have not changed anything so far. It is just like it was on day one. So what are some mods to do first. You guys are the wise ones. You know, been there done that. I want to here from your experiences. I kind of think I want to do a mix between power and comfort mods. I want to change the cans first, but more for sound than performance. And should I then get a PC111 to help the cans. If I do that that will take a large chunk of my money. And I still want to do the Genmar risers and a Sport Touring shield. Help me Obi Wan. Your my only hope. Anyway, thanks in advance.

i'd go with a full exhaust.. which ever brand turns you on..

dollar for dollar... it's gotta be the most pleasing on the "DAMN THATS COOL" list.

the stock sounds are ok.. but it's like switching from an old AM country station to a full stereo surround sound heavy metal slamfest with some decent pipes.

First thing that I would spend some money on is GEAR....leathers,boots,gloves,a QUALITY helmet.

Buy another set of sprockets and chain, and then save the rest for new tires.

I know...too practicle

I agree with gear first. Then it depends on whether you are after performance or appearance mods.

Performance - Full exhaust, PC, Pair Valve Mod

Appearance - DB windscreen, Tobin seats, undertail, rearsets, pegs

umm...if you haven't been riding it that much, I would say skip on the power thingy until you get more comfy with the bike. She'll bite ya in the azz.....and she's gonna bite it hard.

I'd recommend going more comfort on this one...at least for now. Go with some GenMar risers and perhaps a DB or Puig screen....if that's what ya need.

For performance (if ya still wanna go that route) why don't you try droppin a tooth in the front first...that should get her feelin more aggressive. If you're feelin pretty badazz, go with a new chain and a 16/42 setup.

You'll lose some top end speed, but damnit if she's not gonna make ya pucker on the low gears.

Ultimately, I would advise getting to know your bike better. Sounds to me like you haven't been WFO with her many times, so it could be that you haven't tapped into her full throttle potential yet.

Just make sure you stay safe....and keep that rear brake covered. Remember, you have a lot on the line. Just MHO FWIW.

I was interested in comfort when I started so I got asport tour windsheild from zero gravity, the buell pegs and the bar spacers (I'm cheap) they changed the way I sat on the bike more leg room and you set up higher. as far as sound goes I got a set of yosh cans they sound great and look good the problem is now I'm dragracing it and wish I would have bought a 4 into 1 for weight savings and performance gains with no power commander I'm putting out 153hp ifyour interested I have an extra 16 tooth front sprocket it'll give you more grunt down low I live in sanger texas so I don't know how far you are from me if you'd want to hear the yosh cans

check out www.brockracing.com he has a few kits for the "stock" hayabusa that will have your bike breathing fire. A full kit includes a gen 3 exhaust, PC3R with custom map, clutch mod, clutch cusion, pair valve kit, front end lowering strap, lowering links and 16t front sprocket. Go from stock to screamin' fast in a few hours of work. Full kit is approx 1600 but you could start with just part of it for what you have to spend.
Brock seems to be the place to get the "go fast" parts. I spent alot of money on other peoples ideas and been disapointed. Be safe, there is no such thing as a bike that is "too fast", just people without any sense.

If I was to do it all over the first thing I would have done is The HMF Hi mounts, run with no PC3USB until I could afford it then the USB PC3.

Gear.

period.

Simpson Outlaw Bandit helmet $474.00 http://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/product....id=3782
Leather jacket $425.00 http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_z_pilot_jacket_page.htm
Leather pants $269.00 http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_pilot_pants_page.htm
Sidi boots $395.00 http://www.newenough.com/sidi_vertigo_corsa_boots_page.htm
Icon Ti-max Gauntlets $130.00 http://www.newenough.com/icon_timax_gauntlet_gloves_page.htm

That alone will run you about $1639.00

You could also add a spine protector (I have the Icon field armor that has a spine protector and chest protector to absorb impact $100.00 http://www.newenough.com/armor_icon_field_armor_vest_page.htm

You could go with a cheaper pair of boots for about $130.00

Bottom line, to protect yourself properly to try to ensure you will be around long enough to help raise your daughter you want to invest in good quality gear, and that will eat up AT LEAST $1000.00

Then after good gear,
In order

Zero G Double Bubble wind screen (my preference, but some don’t like it, but get something that will help you tuck behind) wind at 150mph + is a beotch

PCIIIusb  $300.00
Full Exhaust system  $900.00
pair valve mod $0 - $45.00

Good luck

Oh, and the reason I went with the PCIIIusb before the exhaust is you can add a PCIII to your stock system and you can still play with it without any problems

But if you go with a full system, you will NEED a PCIII so either purchase the full system AND PCIII at the same time, or purchase the PCIII first.

SLIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant stress that enough! i regret getting pipes first..... b/c some old #@!^^!@ fossil pulled right out in front of me. i layed her down, and now im haunted everytime i go to ride b/c the right fairing is screwed and so expensive to replace.... if i would have put sliders on my bike would still look beuatiful!
