Ignition plastic keyhole protector problem

Hi everyone recently on my gen2 busa my Ignition plastic keyhole protector slider thing does not close properly

how did this happen all of a sudden

can someone tell me the solution to this prob?
How do i get the slider cover thing to close again??
Would i need to put some WD-40 or something in the ignition or on the key??
