..okay..im in a midst of gettin my 05 limited edition/busa a week from now(hopefully..if the stealership comes thru)..my biggest question is should i lower it like say 1 or 1/2 an inch??
the reason why is im 5'4 and even though i tiptoe on my old bike, i dont know if it will be any different on the busa. will i have problems with this bike just cuz it is a higher cc or will it feel just like my old one..just concerned because i dont want to ruin the performance of the bike..people tell me dont do it but i just dont want to have problems..what are your thoughts on these?

Wow. You're short, but I don't think you are the shortest here. There are several threads about the pros and cons of raising/lowering the bike, specifically in regard to handling. A Tobin seat would help also. I recommend using the search function at the top left of the screen. Whatever you decide, welcome! Oh and as soon as you can - PICS!!!
(Also, look out for reflectors and safety stickers - oh, and PICS!)

Welcome to the board. Can't wait to see the first actual pics of the 05 LE. Wonder who will be the first one?

Welcome to the board, I'm 5'8 and don't have that much of a tip-toe issue. I really don't think you'll notice a big difference from lowering it 1in-1 1/2 in. But whatever you decide to do, let us know. Oh yeah, our Family is somewhat of a pic fiends

its not that you are short

its just that the Busa is tall

do what you hafta do... chop the seat, get some lowering links,

wear PLATFORM shoes...

you have to have control at lights an' stalls, an' heavy traffic ....etc etc

Get it down....

down to a manageable level...

It's your bike and your comfort. Lowering links or a Tobin seat would help and from your height if you don't do something performance of the bike may not even be an issue. Welcome to the board and post up pics when you get it.

Get the busa lowered to your comfort level! Should not be a big problem... VaBusa has got her bike lowered... and she does not seem to be having any problems with the handling or the performance

Got mine lowered too. Im 5'8 and when i did burnouts at the track id almost lose the bike cause i was on my toes...now i can burn it out and lean it to the side like the fast guys do
