Some of you know I have an FJR1300, and used to have an 04 LE Busa. I got the FJR as a compromise to my wife. She decided a while ago to divorce me, but didn't file or tell me until August. No pity, please.
The FJR is a great bike, but there are a few things that leave me wanting something different. With my 32in inseam I can't flat foot at a stop. The stock wind screen puts the turbulence right in my face in most positions. The bike weighs in at 632lbs dry. With the back problems I've been dealing with for the last few years, I can't pick the FJR up if it falls over without needing a few hours (or days) to recover afterwards. Other than those personal items it's a great bike. I usually strip the hard luggage off the bike and ride it like a big sport bike. Enough about the FJR.
Today I stopped in an talked to a friend of mine that's a sales manager at a local Suzuki dealer. He had an 08 Busa in the showroom that had just been dynoed. I teasingly asked him if he would consider taking my bike as trade. I drooled by it for a few minutes before going to work. I stopped by to drool some more. That bike just fits right. It feels natural to me. My buddy came out and told me he can meet my offer.
Tomorrow I will be picking up my 2008 Hayabusa!
My little slice of Heaven on Earth!
I guess I will need to post a few pics now.
