im hearing a buzzing noise from my gas tank

After driving about 40 miles on the freeway I was n my garage just sitting on my bike with it off and heard a buzzing noise coming from the gas tank. I opened the tank and it stopped. What is this?

Air, the vent hose is probably clogged.

If it continues to do it you can remove the hose from the bottom of the tank and blow it out with an air hose, as that's probably where it's stopped up. Most likely road grime in the bottom of the hose. You should see it hanging down in front of the swingarm, and the service manual will show you exactly where it is.

i just got my busa 2 weeks ago and it does this too i knew it was pressure because it really "whushes" the air out when i open the tank im gonna have the check the vent hose. and yes.... i said "whushes" lol

same here just atmospherics fuel expands and contracts hence the breather.

unless your getting running issues dont worry about it .
