Has anyone altered the ride height of their bike so that the paint will last a while on the panels ? Have thought about a small spacer placed between the shocker top and mounting point (about 4-6mm).This would also make it turn in a bit quicker or would an OHLINS unit with ride height control be better (not cheaper)?.

I have an Ohlins rear w/ hydraulic preload. I does not have a ride height adjuster, but it's longer than OEM, I believe, and added between 1-11/2 inches to the rear ride height, which feels about right.

Use a stock SV650 link. I also have the one of thse bikes and when I lowered it using the Schnitz lowering link I noticed I could put the original 650 piece on the Busa raise the it about 2".

Re Ohlins shock, I think it's great, the bike's handling is much more taut and better controlled -- together with the 47 pounds I peeled off, it would take a very twisty road to stay ahead of it on any other bike.

kawabuser,

I'm not sure on the rest of the bikes but the linkage bolt w/either sv650 or haybusa are the same diameter.

Terra1, what does you bike weigh now? I did not have a baseline weight for mine, but it's now 460 lb.

- mag wheels
- ti exhaust
- new prf brakes/rotors
- rear ti rotor
- removed most all the other crap I could.

Just one thing to do: Sharkskinz painted like KR Jr. bike to match my new KR Arai helmet (removing all stock lights and replacing with smaller/lighter ones).
