injectors not functioning

i’m sure a few of yall are familiar with my user

with your assistance, i've almost been able to get my bike running. i have one final bug that seems to hinder my shordy from running. injectors are not working as they should. not firing when priming, nor when throttle is pulled .

1. the injectors do work, as i threw 12volts to each one. they all sprayed.

2. i sprayed fuel in the intake and was able to idle the bike! very briefly, but it did idle.

3. pump is priming and pressuring fuel rail (ask my burning eyes.)

i’ll continue reading others post, but does anyone know what may be preventing only the injectors from firing?

You need to start with the wiring harnesses, start at the injectors and work your way back until you find power.
Double check all of your connections that they are seated properly, that they have no dirt in them, and that no pins in them are damaged.
Check that the grounds are clean/no corrosion, and that they are all tight.
Check the fuses and relays.
Make sure none of the harness is twisted or pinched, wiggle them to see if power momentarily returns, which can happen from a broken or damaged wire(s) inside.
You obviously know that you have no power there, but I would still check for codes, as sometimes they can be a clue to another problem.
Odds are it is something simple, and you are making progress, so don't take it to the shop appointment, you've come this far, and almost have it...keep going!

i appreciate ur good word partner. i’ll keep looking, but this is what my wiring situation looks like:

i am not the culprit behind the mess, but i am the one cleaning it up. this gen 1 does have the gen 2 fuel pump. i’m heavily considering buying a new wiring harness. what ya think? btw, i hooked up my power commander for shits and gigs, and the pc picks up the throttle input!

Ah, yeah, 2nd hand wiring problems can be a nightmare to deal with.
If a harness isn't too expensive, it may not be a bad idea.

i think this may be the move. good lord this a journey. ima get to looking. do u know of any possible issues other than user error that may complicate the harness swap ?

1999 and 2000 are the same.
2000 is it's own
2002-2007 are the same.
Otherwise you shouldn't have any problems.

well, i’ll b damned. through retarded finesse, i was able to get my injectors firing.

on another note, IM NOW GETTING NO SPARK. I SWEAR I HAD SPARK BEFORE. WHY GOD WHY.

i’m going to the beach to do sum fishing so i won’t work on the bike until sunday afternoon. the coils seem to have a good ground, but no power:(. besides checking the wiring, is there any particular components that may be stoping the coils from getting power?

Given the wiring problems that you said came with the bike, it is really anyone's guess at this point as to where the fault lies.
You can start at the stator and check what it's output is, or start at the coils and work backwards until you find power, and I would do both.
My concern at this point would be the harness itself that someone has already hacked on.
As it seems you fixed one problem but caused another in the process, which would make me think that there is a damaged wire or wires somewhere in the harness, and they are losing connection and/or grounding out.
But keep going, you're making progress.

Injectors are fed 12v Y/R feed out the ECM small connector pin 8
Coils are fed 12v thru the kill switch via the Orange and White wire

I always wire my coils a direct keyed 12v due to voltage drop to the coils with everything the voltage passes thru
Kill switch Fuel pump relay key harness
ect

Thank u both for ur input.

Im definitely going to give wiring the coils to the pump a try.

I’ll let yall know more on sunday:)

question: before i wire my injectors to the pump, how do i go about over riding the TOS? i haven’t dropped the bike or anything, but i did take a look at it and im not sure if that could’ve possibly caused the coils to stop firing.

and yes, i acknowledge and accept the risk of such action .

202 you can jump over the TOS ??? on cbrs you cant ecu needs a certain resistance wont work

would be good to know for the future issues
