Installation of Scorpio Maverick Alarm

I mounted mine in the tail area and wired it into the gray wire of the tag light wiring harness on the bike side of the harness. There is a perfect amount of space behind the rear trunk/cargo space that allows easy access to mounting and wiring locations for each component. I wired in my battery charger lead at the same time and left it accessible near the foot peg on the right side. I hope that this helps someone.

Did you tap in to the turn signals for activation/deactivation flashing?. Please be mindful those are not dedicated 12 V LEDs.

This^
I was going to ask.
@Spudley has a thread on this and potential problems.
I really don't need an alarm, but it would be nice to have an alert if I'm in the gas station or restaraunt.
Otherwise I'm riding or it would be locked up inside.
I'm making my gen3 mod list now, and buying one in a month or so.

I like having an alarm on the bike that has good range, is loud, flashes and makes all sorts of noises if you touch it, but most importantly lets me know somebody is screwing with my bike. Most the time it's a false alarm, but once in a great while you never know.

Here, thats someone in your face.. remember, we are the state that brought you al capone, 4 consecutive governors that went to the joint, and the murder capitol of the country..

No, it is just to have a switched 12v to let the alarm know when the ignition switch has been activated and deactivated. This one doesn't flash the lights, it uses chirps through the alarm module.

I had one stolen years ago that was locked up in a garage with a steel door and without windows. It had an alarm as well but, the plastics were off at the time for mods that I was working on so they had easy access to the alarm module. I use a disc lock, locked bike, floor anchor, alarm, and even a cover inside my garage now. When I am in a parking lot, I still use the disc lock, locked bike, alarm, and I try to park in the most visible areas.

Very cool. Just checking on a Brother. When I lock them down in the garage they're on the rear stand, rotor lock, alarm armed.

When my alarm goes off in the parking lot it lights up like the Fourth of July, I've even got 12 V LED strips under the 2022 now. I might do that to the 05 also.

I appreciate that! I am always happy to learn more! Have you done a write up on the led install?

No I did not, thank you for the idea. I have all the parts off the 2022 right now so I could shoot pictures and brand sourced, and anybody can wire in a 12 V toggle underneath the right passenger rear set.

Actually there's a little flat molded section on the 2022 undertail behind the rear brake reservoir, and you can put in a three-way, in one position it's connected to the alarm to flash the white LEDs, in the middle position everything's off, and in the third position it's on to light up the bike for Bike nights, general visibility, or on that random scenario when you get stuck out in the middle of nowhere and you need a little light, because you dropped your wallet. LOL !. Ask me how I know. :p

The key in the undertail position whether you have a hugger, or not is to get the little screw on rubber covers that insulate the toggle head from water spray.

I do too, but drawing the weapon is based on a strict set of conditions.
Correct in FL like I thankfully live inn. If someone is breaking into an empty vehicle you can not shoot em. So... if you do make sure you get him to case you with a weapon first before you knock his block off. Oh and have a video to prove it or you'll be an inmate.
