Pics to follow tomorrow when the sun is back out.
Well, I finally got around to installing my stuff. I bought a bone stock 05 LE while I was in Iraq and before I came home I made a few purchases from HPC. I bought a Tsukigi Spec II Race, Pipercross race filter, PCIII USB, Velocity stacks, and a Puig race screen. I have spent the last couple of days getting everything installed and just finished a couple of hours ago.
Let me say, if anyone is looking for an excellent exhaust system, the Tsukigi is certainly one to consider. The build quality is amazing and the fitment is pretty good too. Keeping in mind that this pipe merges into 1 WWAAAYYY back in the system, the fitment is tight right where it comes out at the belly pan. I had to trim a little on the belly pan/side faring junction at the bottom. It's out of view and you can hardly even see it. The fitment needs to be dead nuts for everything to fit back together. All the adjusting, moving, trimming was worth it when I cranked it up. This pipe sounds great, and makes plenty of power. After getting everything installed, I buttoned up the bike, and took her for a spin. WOW, is all I can say. The bike made good power before, but now it's a whole new bike. I am using a MAP that Greg from HPC sent me with the pipe. It works great, and smooths out all the jerkiness that it had prior. I am very happy with the system and all the parts that I got from HPC, Greg is a great guy to deal with and had no problems giving me advice over the phone on the fitment of the pipe. I am looking forward to doing more business with those guys.
I also changed the oil and filter since I was in there, and cleaned the chain. I'm not sure what kind of maintenance the previous owner did, but the chain was filthy and needed adjusting.
Can't wait for tomorrow to get out and ride some more.
