Iradium Screens

I finally got my Iradium screen that's been on order for 4 months. The screen looks great, but the finish looks as though it would scratch really easy.

For those of you who have bought and used iradium screens, how well has the finish held up? Does it scratch easy? Bug removal?

Now I just wish the bike wasn't in storage so I could install it ans see what it looks like.

Thanks for any feedback

I have an iridium face shield for one of my helmets and that thing scratches if you look at it wrong. Even hard shelled bugs leave marks in the finish.
Eventually a small stone hit it and left a nice mark right in my line of vision so it's no longer used.

I doubt a windshield will be any different so be careful with it and be sure to follow any cleaning instructions that come with it.

Iridium pits very easy, no way around it. Lve the look but I got tired of replacing them every 500 miles.

Careful not to use paper towels, as it'll leave micro scratches. Clean soap and water. Air dry is best or soft cotton towel dry. Using a liquid wax puts on a protective coating. Honda wax, Protect-All something OK to use on plxiglass.

I wonder if you could clear coat it

would that protect it ya think ? might be worth a shot to keep it from getting scratched

Same here,I've got the shield on my helmet, but will be replacing it shorty!!!! Way to delicate of a finish but love the look! NJ.

Just sucks.............Cost me $165.00 and took 4 months to get. I hate to ruin it, to expensive to replace if it gets messed up................but looks so cool I don't want to go without.

Have ya ever thought an old beater bike would just be better
