Hi, everyone, I just got started riding again, since 1986, and I just got a LE busa, last week, and I put some general mod. to it... and I replace the head light bulb. (white bulb) and, when I take the bike in for 600 mi service, some body told me, I have to put the regular bulb, other wise, it will damage the charging system, and end up paying, $800.00...
It doesn't draw higher amp or power, any more than the regular bulb isn't it? somebody please, give me an answer...

I dont think you will damage the charging circute...cause if you were using a bulb that was drawing more power than what the system can take, it would have blown a fuse!!

Have to be sure to use a bulb of the same wattage, or you could wind up with a melted reflector due to additional heat. Higher wattage H-7s are out there, so watch out for them. Certainly isn't going to effect the charging system. My experience with the white or blue bulbs has been that they are short-lived. Keep a spare on hand.

The charging system will not be affected, ask rythm, he has a full audio system hooked up and it pulls down some amps. If you are worried about it get the busa battery from schnitz, it has more cca's so you will not have to worry about an additional amp draw.

Thank you all...Again, I see the power of the group here...I usually, try to solve all the problem, by myself, and always end up paying alot, to fix things but, in here I'm sure can relax abit, I'm so glad I joined and become
a member... Thank you guys.
PS:Is there any busa club in Baltimore area for ride? I like to be a member if they allow me be a member, Let me know smoeone...
