Is it wise to do a mable mod

hey guys Im putting on a new exhaust should I do the mable mod is it with it I ride the bike every day in warmer weather do you really gain hp from the marble mod and what mods do you really gain horse power help plz. ideas thanks

You won't gain any HP with the marble mod. You will not get a backfire in the exhaust on decel due to the the PAIR dumping fresh air into the exhaust and igniting unburnt fuel. Worth taking everything off if you are doing exhaust, your in there allready. I did it just beacuse the bike don't need it to run right. Clean's up the front of the motor apon removal of all the part's.

May as well while your down there with exhaust. Won't hurt anything at all plus like already stated, it cleans it up a lil without all that crap there.

Isn't there a resister you have to install if you remove the pump? I have been told that it screws with your electrical system if you don't which is why I just plugged the hose...

I was told this when I modded my 05. I had to do it when I removed the pump on my 03 SV1000.

Don't do the marble mod with slip ons, full exhaust only.

I have shorties on my factory header. Marble stopped all my popping. I couldn't find a store where you could buy a single marble. I cut up an empty paint can and got the marble out.

I kinda like the popping...makes it sound aggressive...but i think i might try it to hear the difference...maybe i'll like it too
