Having the 'Umbrella Girls' on the start line is a psy-ops on the riders.
It's designed to distract the riders enough that they can not concentrate
(after having breasts, hips, legs, etc thrust into their vision ) initially from the actual start of the race, and then they think " SH*T!!!, I better get on with it!!!!! "
It's a bit like pulling back on a rubber band for awhile, tensioning the rubber 'til it's at breaking point, then letting it go . . . whammmo!

That ZX14 is very green with water heater tanks strapped to it for exhausts.

I know there is a big push for the bikes to be EU compliant but the exhausts on some of them are just out of this world and that includes our beloved Hayabusa.

The umbrellas are for the girls so their make up doesn't melt off and ruin the track.
