Took a ride over to chicago cycle center to check out a 04 le. The salesmen says its $10200.00 but he can discount it about 300.00 bucks. Is 9900.00 + tax much of a deal for this bike in the winter when 05's are out. I know they have to make money but do you think I can do better . Thanks for any input ..

Try Champion Cycles of Chicago. I'm willing to bet they can beat that deal.

Ask for the $9900 out the door! You never know what you could get unless you ask for it. Let the Dealer worry about making money, you worry about saving money.

Unless that is Out The Door, that is NO DEAL! Esp. this time of year, you could get a 05 for that price OTD. It just depends what you want and if you are willing to pay for the RED SE!

$9900 OTD with some discounts on gear or have the extended warranty thrown in. Otherwise wait or check somewhere else.

Chicago Cycle Center is an over hyped borg store. For this part of the country you can do much better on price. If that's not including freight and prep the price is insane. $9900 out the door back 10 months ago would have been an ok deal.

Try some of the stores in Indiana. Extreme Motorsports in Hammond is where I bought my Blue/Silver '04 back in April. Price was like $9100 plus freight, prep ect it came out to $9700 total out the door.

Also never let the dealer stroke your ego by giving you a price and telling you that you're getting the freight and prep for free. You're not and it'll get all rolled into one price that you pay taxes on. Make them break it down since you only pay taxes on the bike itself. If $700 of the bikes price is tied up in freight, prep and doc fee's, that's $700 you don't have to pay 8.5% sales tax on.
It won't add up to a huge amount, but considering Chicago taxes you'll be able to buy a few small extras like a tank bra and a pair of gloves ect.

Also do a forum search for a place in Ohio that has the best deals in the country. I believe a few board members have bought the '04 LE's for ~9500 OTD way back in the spring. Not far from Chicago and may be worth the trip if no one will deal close by.

I can't remember the dealer name but someone will follow up with it I'm sure.

too much for what is essentially a "non current" unit....I paid 10200 otd for a 40th last feb.....retail only went up a tiny amount. if any, between 03 ond 04.

All I gotta say if have patient and check with Cycle Trader on a regular basis you can find a deal like I did on brand my new Busa with 00000 mi .  Lucky I only had to go 330 mi out of the way to pick her up ,but it was well worth the saving and the ride back home on her (Medusa).

When doing your search on Cycle Trader for the Busa start the price at $8,500.00  and close at 10,500.00.   It also nice to have the money or a credit card in hand when you call the dealr to talk bizniz.
Good Luck !

You cant buy any vehicle with a cc (at least thats what the dealer told me) but this will act as a good faith deposit when do'n bizniz over the phone until you get there with your briefcase full of twenties and fiddies.

Been there done, done it .

Actually when I bought my Busa I thought it would be convenient to put it on my credit card and then just transfer the money out of checking online when I got home.
They would take a card but the sales manager told me the price would be much higher since they get nailed with a big surcharge.
Ended up just running down to the bank and grabbing the cash.

Well the excuse the dealr gave me was something about it was to iffy with the c/c purchase because a customer could cancell or deny the charges blah blah blah. Anywayz my plans was exactly like your, to pay it off immediately(transferr fundz )while rackn up frequent flyr miles on my c/c.

The way my c/c work is for every so many thousand of dollar purchased with my c/c you can exchange for a plane to ticket up to a certain amount based your total spending to where ever (Conus or Int).

Dude you need to back away from that place right now. I only paid 9200$ out the door for my 2003 busa in march of 2004. And the thing you have to realize about those LE's is there is nothing special about them besides the color scheme so if you think you are getting something extra for your money think again. Remember dealers job is to make you THINK you are getting a good deal. Be wary!

The LE's are actually faster by 2.3 hp. Also, they have a cool "limited" plate on the top clamp. I would pay an extra $1400 for that alone.

Do you have someplace that describes this I can look at? I have been told by several sources that you don't get #### besides the color. Not being a smart ass just really curious to dethrone this rumor if it's true. But also man you would pay 1400 dollars more for not even 3 horsepower i mean a set of SLIP ONS almost will do that for you and that only cost u 5 or 6 hundred bucks?

Or is he.......?!?!

I would only pay maybe $100 more for a SE/LE because of the Black frame. Just because that's what Suzuki seems to think it's worth and it would cost you more than that to have it done yourself. Not counting the hassle of breaking the bike down to the frame and shipping it out.

Thats what I was wondering man I can't see anyone paying 1400 for those LE's there is just nothing to the package for the money unless you REALLY like the paint scheme. But for 1400 bucks you could get a phat paint job custom. But hey to each his own.

Hey got-busa.....I just saw that you were from dayton man. You ever wanna get together for a ride bro lemme know. In middletown all we have is a bunch of squids with like katanas and crap like that. I'd like to roll with another busa sometime.
