I've got a guy coming to pick up my Busa tomorrow. I think it's going to leave a pit in my stomach when I see him drive away with it on his traler. I know it will because the same thing happened back in 95 when I sold my ZX9R and it wasn't half the bike the Busa is.

Quite a while back I got to demo a Ducati ST2. I liked everything about the bike except the motor. Well, having had a 916 back in '96 and loving the motor it didn't take me long to figure out what an ST4 would be like. I thought about trying to get an ST4 last year but couldn't resist owning a Hayabusa even if it may not be a long term relationship. I suppose it could have been if I could afford to own both bikes but sad to say it's not possible.

Well.......it's been fun here on the boards and I want to say thanks to all those who have answered my posts, it has made owning the Hayabusa just that much better. Having the support of so many owners has been great.
Anyway.....good luck to everyone here with their Busa's. Instead of spending a lot of time here I'll be trying get my grubby little paws on a new ST4. I'll have to drop in and see how you all are doing from time to time. Take care.

PS. You all know what a Dragon Slayer is don't you?

Have fun and ride safe! I couldn't imagine life without my Busa. Hope you recover fairly easily. Drop us a line!

Enjoy the ST4--funny I sold the ST4 to get the Busa as the ST4 would only make 140 with me on it--too slow. Make sure you get the pipes and chip--not trying to throw cold water on your purchase but the ST4 has one of the worst resale values of any Duc.

I recall the 'Dragon Slayer' was a bald headed guy with tattoos and piercings,in decent shape riding a modified ZX 7r w/8 teeth up on the rear sprocket claiming to have run Deals Gaps 'The Dragon' in 9 mins. 27 seconds! same guy?

Tell us about your sale. What color busa, how many miles? What did you get for it? Why'd you sell? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hapo, the DR would definitely be the ticket, the Dragon is 318 turns in 11 miles. The busa doesn't stand a chance because there's noplace you can really use the horsepower. Sure, I could slam it to the stop as I came out of a corner but frying the front disks getting it back down to enter the next when the lil guys are BOILING into the corner... wanna take my 89 gixxer750 up there(hehehe). PLUS I didn't relocate the lowering links back up before we went, I was down 3" which all but crucified me. My boot toes are scuffed as hell. The lil 600s 750s etc. really rule that roost 'cause they're so light where we drive BUSA-tanks, but I bet the DR would give it HELL!

gee that was clever responding to the wrong post...sorry.
just got off blue, ain't thinkin' right yet...

...is there an offical record? Is there an established start/finnish? This sounds interesting...I just don't know whether to bring the modded Busa or the stock DR! I don't know those roads, but if the speeds are at or under 80 mph or so, the DR Z400S would be the ticket... we spanked three more sport bikes today on paved roads with two yellow lines on them...although as the speeds approach 90mph, the poor lil suker just gets all flapped out and plain runs out of steam! Oh well....

PS: Dragon Slayer....not having a Busa does not disqualify one from membership on the boards, nor anywhere else that I am aware of....I wouldn't say I've made my "last post" anywhere, as I shall follow my interests, although there are a number of boards I used to be very active on that became more annoying than interesting....

...I guess Fire Fiters ain't as Cool as Cops...they only got one show a little bit about them on TV...but who has a more dagerous or important Job? The only media crap I have seen that does you guys justice was that movie "BackFlash"...dramatized to be sure, but I have always thought of fire as a living thing, from before I could have "kown better"....Kudos to you and you bros, and to my cousin Alex too...an EMT who has been shot at trying to do his job...him or one of his bros are the guys that come scrape us up off the road...if a fireman or a cop don't get there first...
