Its been 5 years since I let my ZX7R go. One of the biggest mistakes ever. After riding around on a few friends bikes (anything from cruzers to an R1) I could no longer hold back. On March 4 my 2005 BLK/RED Busa (Dream Bike) will be in my garage. Anything in particular I should be looking for in my initial shakedown ride? Any pointers would be taken to heart!!! Great site, I will be checking in often!!

Congratulations on your newly purchased busa! If you were a girl, you'd end the first ride with a wet seat

You will have many miles of fun. The busa is a great ride!

Congratulations and welcome to the site. Black & red...ah yes, good choice

I can't think of any pointers to pass along except don't go bananas waiting until March. You'll find that this bike is very easy to love....

Welcome to the board and congrats on the new Busa. Just take it easy and get use to the beast. You're going to love it.

Congrats on the new toy. As with any new or unfamiliar bike, go easy at first until you get to know her personality. You'll love it!

I got mine on Dec 1st! Black and red also! I am still amazed every time I get on her how truly friendly she is! Please be careful on cold tires, and she likes to be cleaned! alot!!

that's along time! The only remedy that I can think of to help with the wait is to visit here. But that may make it worse:;):

Also, with the initial shakedown, just make sure that it will hold the idle it you have a quick deaceleration. Other than that, just try to control that right wrist!

Good choice! My only advice is try to stay between the white lines, because sometimes you get tunnel vision. Also you must let her sit out in the front yard and get some rays sometime.

Congrats, it will have been worth the wait! Welcome to the board ----and remember, PICS!
