Too all those who are trying to help!!
I have a intake cam on exhaust side, airbox done short stacks, and cams set at 105 centerline and Bmc air filter, and tuned the ecm with Yosh box. It does it hot, cold just totaly out of the blue for no reason. I check the tip over switch, sidestand, changed ECMs and fuel lines. There are no codes to be found. My Suzuki dealer has no clue whats wrong. This just started to happen in last 200 miles or so. The bike if your going down the road sometimes dies, even on flat ground, fast and slow. I have check fuel lines and everything else I can think of. It dies then starts right back up with know problem. If your going down the road you can feel it die then instantly start right back up??? I dont know......Help anyone!!!!

mikep this is a shot in the dark but it almost sounds like you have a bad tank of gas with water in it i would drain it go purchase some racing gas and try it

Mike,

Is the FI light flashing? If so check the fault codes. Have you had the recall(fuel screens) done? What have you changed or added recently? It is either ignition or fuel obviously. Sounds like you have checked some of the likely causes.

Off the top of my head I would check these:

Sidestand switch
Tip over switch
Ignition switch
Kill switch(bars)
Fuel pump relay
Fuel pump(heating up?)
ECM
CPS
Battery terminals
Fusebox, fuses
ECM plug for yosh box(check for short)

Try and list more symptoms that occur before/after/during when it cuts out.

First did you remove the pin on the intake cam before you put it in the exhaust side?
( this is a shot in the dark)
I would disconnect and bypass the side stand switch and see if it still does it

How does she run when she's not dying? Sounds like electrical to me.

fuel contamination is possible.you could get a timing light hooked to the bike and tape it to the bars and if it goes to stall see if it starts interupting the ignition signal.given that it starts right away again it sounds like a hickup whether its elec or fuel is the question.so does it die when your on the gas ever?

Mike-
This sounds like the typical'busa cut out. Welcome to the club!!!
How many fuel filters/screens did you clean or replace? At least 3?
Also check and recheck the fuel supply and return lines, for kinks.
Do you have a FULL tank of gas when this happens? Mine was most notable a higher engine speeds with about 1 gallon left in the tank.
It also will die during extended idle periods, with no engine revving.

Do not feel left out mine did the same thing, it dies out when you are just cruising i cleaned the screens in the fuel pump replaced the filters and that problem went away. But now their is a new problem I am down 15hp on the dyno and can't find it! I think it is in the pump or regulator, the pump has been taken apart 4 times and cleaned in last 3000 miles. but still the loss in hp and the bike seem sluggish with a dead spot at 300rpm! so keep pluggin away and i will keep u informed.

jaffie1

line up airbox properly (ask Mr Motorhead)

Did you get the O ring in the pump back right??

That has been others' problems after cleaning the screens

Nuts

It sounds exactly like RobBase's problem. Check the electrical lines in the right handle bar. See Rob's picture over on Labusa's.

A connector rubs thru the kill switch wire and intermittenly shorts it.

Wow this is a board that really helps!! Well trying to answer all Questions, Its been through many tanks of gas and even 25 dollar gallon racing fuel from Neutec. already change tip-over, and sidestand switch. I have never cleaned anything with the pump or reg, I heard its a ***** to do that so never tried, could it be the prob?? The reason I ask is why would it do it sometimes and sometimes not?? I will check the right handle bar wiring...maybe just maybe... I checked the hoses many times even with the gas tank up...When the bikes not doing this its running great!!!!! 176 rwh and 106 ft lbs . I did not do the cam JC a guy whom I heard from a buddy of mine who races AMA said he was a great engine bilder. Jeff Wilson "Cycle Tech" in Owensburo did it, sure he did it right. Besides its ran good for about 3,000 miles until just recently. It seems to do it at just a 1/4 turn of throttle...even going down the road, it shuts off then starts up immeditaly. Im trying to get ready to meet GSX from here in FL next week to do some top end running, but maybe the Busa's got something else up its sleeve... Could it be maybe to lean down low??? I had Jeff tune it with Yosh box, but it really started doing it since it got warm, but could be because Ive been riding more????? Help!!!!

since it got warm is the magic word i've been lookin for!take apart the pump and screens.clean them and let us know.when the weather gets warm the pump gets overheated due to overworking due to blockage and can cause the stalling at slight throttle positions or when stopping.

The pin on the cam was out in left feild idea that maybe the cam senor would pick the exhaust one up and shut down due to improper cam crank ratio.
